Warning: whiny boring entry ahead.
Work obstacles:
1) The mainframe was very slow today. No one told us why or assured us they were looking into it.
2) My permissions "fell off" somehow. So I couldn't get to any of my computer files. Fortunately, my IT guy is very quick and I was back to work in only a couple of minutes. After closing down every single window and re-booting.
3) A new database of courses became available for me to look at. (That's good.) But not a single one of them was being taught with a substantial writing component, when usually more like ten are. Therefore, I do not trust any of the data at all. Also, I know someone new is working on this this semester.
Fortunately I have a million things to do, so there's always something I can work on. Although with no access to my files, it was about to get very interesting.
Gym obstacle:
The bus usually comes at about 5:13, 5:15, 5:25, and beyond, but it's finals week and therefore the schedule is reduced. If I didn't make that 5:15 bus, I was not going to get to the gym. Fortunately I got to the bus stop at 5:11. Unfortunately that didn't matter in the slightest. Although the entire route takes only 35 minutes, the bus didn't arrive until 5:50.
So by the time I got to my stop, then walked 20 minutes to the gym, then got dressed, it would have been just about the time for "final relaxation," which I could easily do at home.
Fortunately, I was pacing while waiting for the bus, so I still got in a reasonable amount of exercise.
