Crunchy and Salty

Of all the ordinary kinds of bagged chips out there, the ones with the fewest calories and least fat are pretzels. Of course they are no good during Passover--sorry about the timing of this entry.
One problem with pretzels is that they are made with white flour. So I decided to search for whole wheat pretzels, and I did not find them. However, there's a variety of Newman's Own pretzels made with spelt. Apparently people don't feel the need to remove as much fiber and nutrients from spelt as they do from wheat because one serving of these pretzels has 4 grams of fiber (about 16% of what people need in a day) and 4 grams of protein, of all things (about 8% of what folks need for a day).
So I bought them and they taste just like pretzels. What do you know?
That's still not a lot of nutrition for 120 calories, but it's pretty awesome for a junk food. Deb-Bob says, "check it out!"
