Today I get to go to another interestingly themed party, a danger party. Here's the description:

You are invited to a Danger, Danger, DANGER Party!

Make s'mores with a blow torch!

What dangerous things have YOU been up to? Tell us about them! Bring
pictures or video, if you have them.

I'm not the kind of person who has a lot of good stories about dangers I've experienced, I'm happy to say. So, I just rounded these things up into a little poem:

Dangerous Things I Do

Cook with a blow torch.
Blurt what I know.
Skimp on the sunscreen.
Let pretty weeds grow.

Drive in the city.
Read while I walk.
Eat cookies and donuts.
Web surf at work.

Dance with strangers.
Stand in canoes.
Walk icy sidewalks.
Forget things are due.

Spew sarcasm.
Breathe the ozone.
Lend money to family.
Read you this poem.

I'm also bringing graham crackers that I decorated with frosting in the shape of skulls and crossbones. My artwork is not good, but it is recognizable.

I'm also bringing the haunted house game. I gave the hosts this game for Christmas, but they may not yet have punched out all the pieces.

Robin and I are also bringing a soundtrack on his iPod. We managed to find thirty songs about danger. The first two are songs about scary parties: "Mama Told Me (Not to Come)" and "Hoo Doo Bash." The last one is the Austin Lounge Lizards Version of "Mama Don't Allow." This is one of those songs where everyone who does it puts in different things that Mama don't allow. The last verse of this version starts with something like "Mama don't allow no above-ground nuclear testing around here. Mama don't allow no above-ground nuclear testing around here. We don't care what Mama don't allow ..." but then the verse is interrupted with nuclear explosion sound effects. Cheesy creepy fun!

Actually, my artwork was not recognizable in most cases unless the person already knew what to look for. Oh, well.

Your poem was one of my favorite things. Better than the sharks. Especially the reading while walking. And web surfing at work. *grin*

I'm glad you enjoyed my poem. I also enjoyed the sharks, but I'd never seen his videos before.
