I've been thinking it might be amusing to have some "fashion" blog posts. Today's might be something like this:
Once again I am excited to wear my mom jeans, accented as usual by tucking my shirt in completely and wearing a sturdy leather belt. I'm also excited that my red and blue plaid shirt is clean again, so I'm wearing that, which means I get to wear my necklace with the blue jean lapis and odd colored freshwater pearls. My sparkly stud earrings of choice for today are the ones that sometimes look blue and sometimes look purple because there are multiple blues in the shirt. I'll go with the blue glasses because they're still out from yesterday. I still have long, frizzy hair, so I'll partially tame that with a barrette on one side. And of course, I'll finish off my ensemble with sneakers.
You know the difference between me and other frumpy dressers? I make this look good.

on 2015-04-16 11:24 pm (UTC)I always think that it would be fun to have multiple pairs but pretty quickly my face becomes my-face-with-these-glasses and the idea of switching them up is like wearing a different nose.

on 2015-04-17 03:23 am (UTC)I need my glasses for distance viewing. In practice that means driving, watching TV or movies, and going to class. Oh, and shopping. I am technically wearing them during most waking hours, but from a chain around my neck or hooked into my shirt. I get a headache if I wear them on my face too long.
I completely agree that switching them is like wearing a different nose! That's partly why I went to just wearing the same pair at work--I got tired of the comments. But now it's party time every day!

on 2015-04-19 06:37 pm (UTC)For me, I think it's actually correlated with weight. Evidence: 1) It happens with non-prescription sunglasses. 2) It's much less of a problem with modern light-weight glasses.
