I have fallen under the spell of Sudoku, thanks to my friend, who introduced them to me via two entries in his online journal. I tried the one in his first entry. No problem. Then I tried the evil one referred to in his second entry. Different. The second entry also tells you how to get all the evil ones you could ever want (as well as at three other levels).

I had never heard of these number puzzles before. But the next time I went to the grocery store I saw a book of them. Which I did not get. Then I saw one on the desk of a co-worker. "Oh, my nephew gave me that." Now they are appearing in the college newspaper where I work.

I will be assimilated.

Ack! Sudoku!

Sudoku has been consuming my every free moment for weeks now. There's a nice little app you can download, which feeds you endless games and which allows for all kinds of niceties (like pencilmarks and hints) the websudoku version doesn't have. Drawback to the app is that it expires after 30 days unless you feed it money.

But I'm enjoying my 30 days!
