Too Ignorant

livingdebI tried making videos on my camera. I didn't get the swim/crawl of my niece, but I did get standing with inadvertently appropriate background music. Very bad picture quality, though--so sad. Actually, that's got to be due to bad lighting because I can't use the flash on the video, and I always need flash for good pictures in that location.
I'd show you the video, but I have given up. Sometimes I really, really despise computers.
First I have to upload the video somewhere. Of course the new place I found to upload pictures to doesn't take videos. But then I thought of YouTube.
So first I have to create a YouTube account. I went through all the steps, but then it said it couldn't create a new account because I already have one. So I tried all the usual names and passwords and they don't work. So I said I forgot my password and they let me reset it. But then they said that I have to connect my YouTube account to my gmail account. And no matter what I do, either I don't have an account or I already have an account (whichever one doesn't let me do anything).
If I again try to create a new account they say my username is already taken. It was free a few minutes ago, so it must have been taken by me! But if I sign in using this username and password, it says the username or password is incorrect. Why won't it let me in?
How do people figure out new things to try until they make stuff like this work? I am out of ideas.
