Relative Growth Rates

I looked at a few numbers from the year I bought my house and this year, did some calculations, and found surprising results. Assuming annual compounding, here are some annual rates over the last 13 years:

* house value: 8%
* salary: 6%
* inflation: 3%
* rent at the apartments where I used to live: 1%
