Floating Fluff
Dec. 4th, 2009 07:57 pmToday as I was walking back from lunch I noticed some little floating pieces of fluff.
After a while, I thought there was too much of it to be just random fluff, so maybe it's tiny bubbles.
Several yards further, I realized that a single source of bubbles wouldn't still be noticeable, at which point I actually thought of volcanic ash.
This is even though everyone's been in fantasy land all week because of predictions for snow today.
After that it was quite fun to notice several students around me celebrating the snow with each other, laughing and dancing. Other co-workers noticed students texting each other.
(The snow didn't stick--except on my scarf. Someone pointed out that people like my friends in Canada and Massachusetts would probably think of a day like this as a day when it didn't snow.)
