I've learned a few good things about Thanksgiving this year.

1) Dressing is good with sausage in it. (I had crumbly breakfast sausage, not link sausage.)

2) Chocolate pecan pie is good warm.

3) Mimi's Cafe does have some things I like, like salads. I no longer feel the need to try to talk my mom out of going there when she suggests it.

4) You don't need to cook turkey until it reaches 180 degrees, like the old thermometers say. Take it out of the oven at 165. It may reach 170 after that, but it won't be too dry.

5) Sausage dressing could be a good one-dish meal.

Have you tried the Tuscan omelet (I think that's what it's called). It's an omelet filled with spinach artichoke dip and other goodies. YUM!!!! I get mine made with egg substitute, to help make up for all the cheesy goodness. I don't ever eat at Mimi's when they're not serving brunch though. There's nothing on their lunch or dinner menu that I really like, especially not for the price.

Sounds good. By "brunch" do you mean something other than "breakfast"? If so, how do I find out when they're serving it?

Well, they have separate breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus, and a weird sort of schedule dictating when you can order off of each. Like you can order off the breakfast menu open-11, and the lunch menu 10-4, and the dinner menu 2-close on weekdays, but on weekends, the breakfast menu extends to 2 or something. I don't know the actual times, but you have to be there in the vaguely breakfast-lunchish timeframe to order off the breakfast menu. Hence, the 'brunch' designation. Clear as mud?

Ah, so it's breakfast you like, because of the yummy omelet. Good to know.
