NaNoWriMo, Anyone?

I have a sort of vaguely fictiony idea for a book, though it's not a novel.
NaNoWriMo defines 'a novel as "a lengthy work of fiction." Beyond that, we let you decide whether what you're writing falls under the heading of "novel."'
Of course, then they say, 'In short: If you believe you're writing a novel, we believe you're writing a novel too.'
I don't believe that I'd be writing a novel.
But then there's a forum category for NaNoRebels: 'You're writing a memoir, a script, a nonfiction book about turtles or something else that's not a novel. You're a NaNoRebel, baby! Converse with your fellow outlaws here.'
Anyone else interested in NaNoWriMo this year?
