Emergency Averted
Mar. 25th, 2009 08:50 pmLet me just say that when there is going to be a big emergency at work that you are going to need to help with, maybe tomorrow, but every day it may be tomorrow, but finally on the day when it really is tomorrow, they say they're making the appropriate party deal with it after all, when you've already fantasized about being all heroic and awesome, it's tiring.
Another story related to this entry's title is that I managed to miss the golf-ball-sized hail at my sister's house when I drove over to visit her this evening. I merely dealt with heavy rain (easily because of good tires and Rain-X) and heavy traffic.
Fetus name of the week - Mothra. Because at this point in the pregnancy, the baby likes to turn toward light. Like a moth. (Last week: Melanie. Because she was the size of a melon.)
One of the great things about giving the fetus names is that we are also giving him or her a gender. But I don't know Mothra's gender, so I don't like to use pronouns when referring to Mothra.
