Food Party
Nov. 24th, 2008 08:26 pmThis weekend I went to the birthday party of someone who requested no presents and no costumes, even, just some food that we're really good at making. So, there was lots of fabulous food: cake with two kinds of frosting (how do you do that?), exquisite delicate cookies, pimento cheese dip made from fresh pimentos, and phooey, I don't remember any more. (At first I said "rats" instead of "phooey," but that made it sound like someone managed to bring really delicious rats.)
I brought taco soup with cheese and chocolate decadence with berry sauce. (How to make berry sauce: put frozen berries and grape or orange juice in blender. Blend until smooth. Keep adding juice until it looks like sauce.)
But of course I did not take any pictures of that. Instead I took pictures of Star Wars figures doing yoga.

Here is a close up of the guys on the ground.

As you can see, they are all bad at balancing, so they have to lean up against the big guy. Also, two of them have such limited joint range that they are only really good at the dead man's pose.
