I'm glad Ben Kingsley is doing lots of movies I find out about. He's good.

If you are in the mood for crying, I recommend "Elegy."

Like many movies, this one has a moral. I told Robin that the moral is that no matter how old of a guy you date, he'll still be immature. So you may as well date someone young and energetic. Actually, the guy was plenty energetic, so maybe I should have said you may as well date someone too young to have a lot of baggage.

Robin says, no, the moral is that no matter how old you are, there is still time to grow up.

One good moral is not to worry about if you're good enough for someone; let them worry about that. You should just worry about if they are good enough for you.

This movie is just as painful to watch as teen dating movies. Still, the characters are gripping. And it's not clear what will happen next, after the last scene in the movie, so you can discuss that afterwards. Also Ben Kingsley rocks, and so do Dennis Hopper and Patricia Clarkson. Plus you get to see Penelope Cruz half naked. And Ben Kingsley.

I don't know if I liked this movie. It does bring up important themes. The one that most interests me is the problem of how once you commit to someone, you are stuck with them even during messy problems. But if you actually love them, and they are living through a mess, you want them to be able to come to you.
