Sci Fi Movie

Went to see a movie with some friends. Afterwards, we walked from shop to shop (outside). I asked, "Do you ever feel like you live in a sci-fi movie based on this really hot desert planet, and if you stay out of the little space domes too long, you'll die?"

I got home and looked up the temperature. Guess what it is. It's 108 degrees.

Damn! 108? I was whiny this morning because autumn is finally coming to New England and my bedroom was 63 degrees when I woke up. Thanks for the dose of perspective!

I felt chilled this morning at 77 degrees. I had hot chocolate! What will I be like when things actually get chilly?

I can't complain, either, though, because the heat is not ruining my house or my city or even making me spend my weekend in continuous rush-hour traffic evacuating just in case. Also, I have air conditioning.

I am glad to hear that fall has found the northern hemisphere. I think I might be ready this year.
