Kitchen Cabinet Reorganization
Aug. 25th, 2008 08:19 pmThis weekend we re-evaluated the use of some of our prime kitchen real estate.
We got rid of some skillets and lids we weren't using from under the sink and made room for pitchers that don't currently have liquids in them.
And we moved some stuff from the top cabinet shelf to the garage, then moved all but six mugs to the top shelf (easy to pull down for parties that require mugs), and thus had room to make more stacks of dishes and leave the extra cheese grater there instead of in the pantry.
I thought we had a pretty good system going, but when we got all the new pans, there were a lot of old pans we quit using. And when we got new dishes, our extra other dishes didn't stack as well in them as they did in our old dishes. I like the new cheese grater better than the old cheese grater except a) when I'm slicing cheese and b) when the new one is dirty, so it's nice to have both accessible.
