French Silk
Mar. 12th, 2008 10:00 pmWhat's a family visit, especially with family you rarely visit, without a recipe?
Here's how Aunt M makes it:
12 or 16 oz silken tofu
12 or 16 oz chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla
Blend tofu in blender. Add vanilla, mix. Add the same amount, by weight, of melted chocolate chips. Mix. Pour into individual serving dishes. To get fancy, add whipped cream and fruit on top. We got whipped cream and strawberries.
"Silken" refers to the consistency here, rather to a brand. Get the soft kind, not the firm kind.
The original recipe was for a pie - use this as a filling for a baked pie shell.
