At least in winter.

This morning it was just about as cold as it ever gets here: just above freezing. And it was sunny with almost no breeze at all. This is the kind of weather that has people in Alaska sunning themselves. And people in normal places thinking it's a great day to get out of the house and go for a walk.

I had on layers, a scarf, and a hat. I was slightly chilly. That's it. Then it warmed up a bit. I love this place.

In other news, chocolate is still yummy.

And I am too sleepy to write a proper entry. Adieu.

You probably want "au revoir" rather than "adieu" here. Both mean "goodbye", but "adieu" has a suggestion of permanency about it.

The nerve of some people. It was -22C (-7F) here this morning and I walked to work. Yes, walked, in the cold, without any kind of spaceheater with me. I even saw some people without hats. Cold. It burned the inside of my nose to breath. If your nose is running and you take a deep breath it can freeze closed. Owwwwww. It is going up to a whopping -12C (10F) today. Can you believe it? Warmer later in the week, but I wanted you to know that you are rubbing it in.

Sorry about that. It's almost never painfully cold here.

You can gloat in the summer. When it's 98 degrees outside and I can't walk more than ten feet without sweating everywhere, and it's 120 in the car, and I'm burning my hand on the metal seatbelt buckle and even on the steering wheel.
