I'm Turning Up the Heat in Here

I was hoping I'd get used to the cold this winter because in winter it's cold outside, it's cold in the house and it's cold in my office. But no. I just sit around tensing muscles as if that will warm me up and then relaxing because those muscles ache.

At this rate I'll need to live in Death Valley by the time I'm 65.

Maybe it's not getting older that's the problem but getting more control over your surroundings. You get to have heat and warm sweaters and don't have to walk to school in the snow or dodge snowballs from bullies anymore. So maybe you're done getting less able to deal with the cold.

on 2008-01-26 02:58 am (UTC)I actually do take a run up and down some stairs every time I take a bathroom break, and I try to walk a bit outside during lunch. These warm me up because of my movement, though.
I haven't tried any short outside breaks, though. Interesting.
