I've spent a fair amount of the past twenty-four hours doing some web research on how I can help make environmentally sustainable choices for myself. I would say that about half the answers I'm looking for are at or linked to Treehugger, which describes itself as "the definitive, modern yet green lifestyle filter. It will help you improve your course, yet still maintain your aesthetic."

Another useful site, though not nearly as cool in any way except that it's from my town is the Steps You Can Take To Promote Sustainability page of the Sustainable Communities Initiative.

And for a quick summary of what to do, see the article On personal actions that make a real difference. Check out that first link ("repeat") which leads to yet another book recommendation.
