Lots of Round Things

livingdebSome friends wanted to hang out by their pool today so they invited a few people over to join them. Of course it started raining not long after the start of the get-together, so we moved inside.
I got to see a cartoon dubbed in English, and the voice of one of the characters was done by our hostess. I did not recognize her voice either before I knew or after I was listening for it.
I got to see some magnetic shoots of various kinds that you can arrange on your refrigerator so that a marble can roll down the front of it in interesting ways. Very fun.
I got to see a video game where it's like rolling a bigger and bigger snowball, only it's all kinds of things that stick to the ball of stuff, not just snow. It's hilarious when pointy stuff gets sucked in, or when live animals get stuck and keep moving.
I got warm fresh-baked cookies and warm fresh-baked pastry-wrapped cheese.
D. and I compared pedometer readings. We each have pedometers that hold readings for 7 days. She won most days, mostly by a lot. It was fun--it felt like a quick-draw shoot-out, only where we like each other and want each other to do well.
Sure like these long weekends. Adieu, long weekend, and goodnight.
