Amazon Roulette

We found a way to watch "Destinos," the PBS Spanish teaching series, for free, streaming on the computer, but only on Robin's computer because basically, the copy protection is so overpowering that I can't get around it to get it to play on my computer.
The picture is rather small, so Robin asked if the DVDs of this are available on Netflix. Of course!
But they're not. They're also not at any of the local libraries (of course this kind of thing becomes "presumed lost" in short order). And they're not available on Amazon. That is bizarre.
However, while I was on Amazon, I was informed that the next pedometer I want (because it works not only clipped to a belt but also slipped into a pocket plus it gets good reviews) is on sale for half price ($20 instead of $40). So I bought that.
Now I match Indigo Rose (who chose hers independently)! (Only mine doesn't plug into the computer.) And now we can have vicious competitions at our weekly mall walks to see who has done the most steps. (Well, not quite; I probably won't receive it until she's back from China.)
But the bad news is that the price is too low to get free shipping (you need to buy $25 worth of stuff), so I was forced to also buy a book. Now that's the kind of bad news I like.
