Unprofessional Behavior

Today while I was walking around campus at lunch time I noticed myself looking longingly at a grassy area and wanting to do a cartwheel.

And then I thought, hey, I'm just going to do a cartwheel. So I stepped over the chain, set down my book, and did a cartwheel.

And various muscles said, "Hey, wha?" I guess that happens when you don't do something for years and years. I still was able to complete the cartwheel, but it wasn't quite as perfectly vertical as I had expected.

Afterwards, I looked around to see if anyone was looking. Nope, not the group behind me. Nope, probably not that group in front of me.

On the other hand, the group in front of me turned out to be people I know, and when we passed each other they all gleefully said hello to me. And I couldn't help smiling my head off as I replied hello to them. Maybe one or more of them did see me after all.

Well, sometimes you just need to do a cartwheel.
