The Mystery of the Feathers
Sep. 4th, 2005 04:21 pmI woke up this morning and found some feathers in the sink and on the faucet. They were brown, about 1.5 mm wide, and up to a couple of inches long.
In the living room I found larger bits of feather. The things I had seen before were actually just parts of feathers; a whole feather was made up of several of these on each side of a central shaft.
So how did these feather bits get here?
Robin was asleep, having stayed up late. When he woke up I asked him if he had had a fight with a bird or something. He explained that he had been trying to dust with a feather duster, but stopped when he realized he was making more "dust" than he was cleaning up. His duster is just falling apart.
