It's hard to think what I did all day, but I did lots of things that seem to have added up to a full day of doing stuff.
I slept late.
Played sudoku.
Went out to eat.
Hung up some laundry.
Decided to work on a project I've had for a while to make some potholders. Found the fabric, felt, batting, bias tape. Realized the fabric had never been washed. Tested it for colorfastness in the sink. Nope, turns the water pale pink. Rinsed it several times.
Uploaded pictures I've taken over the past week or two and wrote comments on the better ones and stuck them in appropriate files.
Went to the open house of friends who are selling their house. Partly to see what improvements they made. Partly as a spy. In case everyone walked in and noticed the same negative thing or something. But there was only one person who did not admit to being a neighbor, and she liked everything fine.
Went to a party. Had cookies. Jicima with cream cheese almond butter dip. Cantaloupe (which must be in season around here because it was good both at the restaurant and at the party). Built snakes via card game, including one very long snake. Read about a shopping battle game called something like "Small Aisles, Big Carts." They had some funny products--my favorite was carbonated fish gravy, "tastes like the sea." (I might not be remembering that just right.) Helped put together a puzzle where the things that looked like eggs still in their shells turned out to be vegetables (or eggs with stems) and the weird scrambled egg looking things turned out to be sliced vegetables and the plate I was working on turned out to be more than one plate. Played several games involving grids.
Went for a little walk trying to get another look at the moon which was a beautiful sliver, but apparently it was behind clouds. Noticed a few things about my neighborhood I never noticed in the light. Like what's that big tower thing in the apartment complex that looks like an unlit moon tower?
Now it's bedtime.
