The Excitement is Not Mine

livingdebI feel like I've had an interesting day today, but really it's all about other people.
Someone I know just got engaged.
Someone I know just had a baby.
Someone I know is up for parole again. The person who voted against his file in years past, referred to by a co-worker as "that bastard," is no longer there. Also, there has been some buzz around the state that maybe it's a good idea to let nonviolent offenders out in a reasonable time if they have been model prisoners rather than building more prisons, so things are looking good.
Very exciting things are afoot.
Me, I stuck labels on large cardboard envelopes in a part of the mail room area referred to as "the cage." People can't help referring to the situation using quotes from the movie "Office Space."
