Employer Blues
May. 20th, 2007 08:17 pmMy employer is ticking me off. You guys have heard about financial services. The head has now been fired. No one else was yet, as far as I can tell.
Today I found out (the easy way) that you get a ticket if you park your motorcycle in a "car" space even if you are following all the fine print. That includes the parking garage--you are not allowed to park your motorcycle anywhere in any parking garage because all those spots are for cars.
One of my friends is taking a night course and dealing with a lot of stupid crap that should not be acceptable for a school.
I did find out that one of my friends got to get out of a requirement by using the system I work on to test several catalogs to see if one of them didn't have the requirement he didn't want, and one didn't! This was before my time, but still.
My employer is trying to take over a lot of the space in the area where the airport used to be, near my house. Although I love universities, I'm not sure if I'm for or against this. I'm not really a fan of any of the actual stores I know about that are opening. But the university is not known for being a good neighbor.
I'm not sure what I want to do about this feeling. I would rather be proud of my employer than how I've been feeling lately. Should I write letters? Probably. Quit? Oh, I wish. But I'd still have to work somewhere.
