livingdebI've been reading in the news that today is "Black Friday" when all of a sudden people want to go shopping.
I've also learned, through personal experience, that the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, at 9:00 p.m., people enjoy going for a drunken drive. Or at least weaving and otherwise driving unpredictably.
And the day after Thanksgiving, during a home game and beautiful weather, people are not driving around. We drove to Town Lake and it was very pretty. The lake and sky were a brilliant blue, the plants were a bright green, and swans were swimming by. And turtles were piling themselves on rocks.

I went to the movies and had lunch, so I guess I am a non-participant. No shopping though. I detest crowds!
