Today I accidentally slammed myself into a metal wall several times. And I threw myself into a pit of death. Also, I accidentally killed Edwin. Twice.

(This was the first time I've come in last in the game of Robo Rally in a long time. Robo Rally is back in print. The robots are now plastic instead of metal. But the flags are cooler, and you no longer all start in the same place.)

Then I built three fabulous inventions. First I built a laser fence, which, once completed, protected my next partly-built inventions from theft. Then I built a power drain which gave me the powers of any other player's invention during each turn. That let me build my next invention quickly, my robotic Igor. You wouldn't believe what you can build with gummy bears and nanoconfabulators. I also got my hands on a ten-pound ball of tin foil.

(The power drain was the key to getting me just enough victory points to win the game of Igor.)

Robo Rally is back? That's great! I'm concerned that they've made changes tho. All I really need are replacement parts for the set I already have. Program cards mostly. And a few of the cardboard virtual robot tokens. I still have the metal robots that livingdeb
and I hand painted back in the 20th century.

You lost parts?

I don't think any of the new parts will match. They had to change everything to make it look different. The program cards are probably the same size, though.

Too bad the parts won't match. I'm really only missing a few insignificant carboard chits, but the cards are looking a bit worn - still usuable mind you -- but I'd like to get new ones.

If you used only new cards, it would work. If you tried to shuffle the new and old cards together, well they might be the same size and shape, so it might still work.
