I Have the Power!

In "body flow" class at the gym, the instructor likes to demonstrate mountain pose and whatever version of sun salutations we'll be using. Sometimes the instructor says to get up and follow along. My current instructor doesn't tell us to stand up, though he talks in a way that is begging us to follow along.

So, today I decided to follow along. I don't go to a gym class to just sit there. And I wasn't blocking anyone's view, so I decided to go for it.

I know, standing up is not normally an activity that one follows with a victory dance. But I don't like to draw attention to myself, so it felt like a little victory to me.

After several seconds, a second person stood up. After several more seconds, additional people started getting up until over 2/3 of the class was standing up. When he started demonstrating the sun salutations, everyone else got up.

Well, heck. Who knew I had the power to levitate an entire classroom? I think the first few people were thinking like me, wishing they were going along, but not. I think the last few people wanted to sit but succumbed to peer pressure.

(Must use exciting new powers for good, not evil.)
