Unusual Sentences
Feb. 23rd, 2006 10:31 pmI heard two sentences in dance class this evening that I don't think I've ever heard before:
"I'm not usually ferocious." - a student
"I've lost control of my class to Ralph Macchio." - an instructor
How do you lose control of your class in this way, you might be wondering. First you explain about how the arms move in conjunction with your Cuban (hip) motion. They go in circles, that lie in a plane, from the outside in. Someone asks, "So, that would be 'wax on'?" Instructor explains he doesn't understand all these Texas references, even though he's lived here a long time. Students explain that it's not actually a Texas reference but a "Karate Kid" reference, and you can imagine the rest.
