Cooking and Laundry
Feb. 11th, 2006 07:47 pmToday I cooked. Twice! I made brownies. This time they burned because I accidentally set the oven at 475 instead of 350. Lots of things I've been making lately cook at that temperature, so I made a wrong assumption. So, I'm still not sure yet, but I think I have a new brownie recipe I like. It has peanut butter instead of some of the butter. And less sugar and more cocoa than my original recipe. There's a chance it might be too crumbly. Or too weird tasting. "You used that weird sugar again, didn't you?" "Yes." "You should never do that. By the way, do you mind if I have someone else make my wedding cake? He's dying to try out my cool new pans." No, I don't mind. But the brownies might taste weird right after eating a chocolate kiss, which is milk chocolate rather than dark chocolate.
I also made tuna biscuit bake again. I really need to learn to make biscuits myself instead of using whop biscuits. The only whole wheat ones I could find at the store are full of sugar and hydrogenated vegetable shortening. Even my brother's recipe, which I love, but which has so much butter that the biscuits are actually yellow, might be healthier (made with whole wheat pastry flour, of course).
I also did laundry. Three loads. One load for each of my two racks, then I folded some things in half and stuck a third load on.
Can you tell I've been putting off doing some things I really should be doing? I also played a lot of web sudoku. Are those evil ones getting harder? Or is my brain getting softer?
