At craft night I finished one knitting project (except for weaving in the loose ends) and started another one. Now that I'm home, I can't find the new project. I have the old project. And I have the ball of yarn I am using for the new project, which I expected to be connected to the new project. But there is no new project and the knitting needles I was using are also missing.

These things are nowhere in my craft supplies bag and nowhere in the car I used to get to and from craft night.

Possible Clues:

1) The end of the yarn is unraveled about 1/4 inch, but so is the other end of the yarn (the end that I wasn't using). However, one of the four strands is slightly shorter than the others (unlike the other end). So, I guess it hasn't been cut. Chewed? I don't remember chewing it. :-)

2) Near the end of the yarn there was what Robin calls a "weird knot," but it came untangled easily.

3) I don't remember having trouble moving the bag with the project or having to pull on it as if it were caught on anything.

That's all I can think of. Next step: ask craft night host if she's seen it. I'll post an update when I know more.

Update: The craft night host cannot find it. She looked everywhere, even the back yard!! In case a pet ran out of the house with it! She is awesome!
