Today's Unknowns in Job Hunting

I don't know if I'll get the job for which I just interviewed, but I feel like I just made it a little more likely. I sent out thank-you e-mails to all the people I interviewed with yesterday plus to the person who will be making the final decision. Seven e-mails. Whew!
I feel really good about that and even pretty good about the letters. I got to say something at least mildly interesting in each one and never had to revert to anything sickening like, "after this interview, I am even more sure that I am a perfect fit for the position."
In other news, I got my employee ID number for the tax preparation place today. Yes, the place that has declined to hire me. I don't know what to make of that.
I already did one hard thing today. I'll worry about what to do about this other issue tomorrow. I don't really see how I could start working there now (without the required training) even if I don't get the position for which I just interviewed.
