On another friend's blog, I read a review of a book by a brain scientist, Jill Bolte Taylor, who herself suffered a stroke. The friend said it was an amazing story (though he was less than enthusiastic about the writing and about the audiobook), and cited a TED lecture by this woman. I watched it earlier today; well-done and a fascinating story. (BTW every TED lecture I've seen has been great!) http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/lang/eng/jill_bolte_taylor_s_powerful_stroke_of_insight.html
