Organizing, House Envy, and Blueberries

livingdebThis weekend I did a lot more organizing.
I really should spend more time figuring out what to get rid of instead of always thinking, "Woo hoo! I have a place for that!" Having a place for it is only half the point.
For example, I have a lot of things in files: lots of information I thought I might like to refer to at some point in the future. If I didn't own those things, I would just google for the information. In fact, half the time I just google anyway. But some of the things are of high quality, and googling doesn't always work very well, so I would like to keep some of it.
Still, what if all my files fit in a smaller filing cabinet? That would be nice.
I also decided I should spend more effort hanging on to information I have about stuff I own, like the receipt and the manual (or any information on how to take care of it), as compared to my efforts collecting information about stuff I want to have in the future.

Also this weekend I slobbered over someone's fabulous new house. I think the interior stone archway is what did it. Helped by the gigantic kitchen, full laundry room, tiny yard, soft carpeting, pretty colors, and delicious aromas coming from the kitchen.
It turns out the house is cursed, though. (I didn't notice the hail damage, dying plants, or discolored planter until the owner pointed them out to me.)

And I made some blueberry muffins, inspired by the muffins raaga123 made recently. The key, she said, is fresh blueberries, which are still in season. They aren't the best thing I've ever cooked, but good. My first response was, "ooh! softer and fluffier than my usual quickbreads!" But now that they have cooled, they seem denser. More like a fluffy sweet biscuit. Still tasty, a good way to eat blueberries.
