A Review and a Clue
Feb. 16th, 2008 09:21 pmFirst the clue. If you're trying to guess some movies from yesterday, there is a clue in the order that they are listed. (However, I made one or two mistakes. #2 is supposed to be between #3 and #4, and according to the official title, #14 belongs between #5 and #6.)
Today we saw the movie "Jumper." I disliked it. It's yet another of what I've started thinking of as turn-of-the-century movies that are all about the special effects. The special effects were really great. I admit that the world portrayed was also an interesting place.
Unfortunately, I did not like any of the three major characters. I didn't like how any of the characters interacted with each other--they either didn't talk or didn't listen. The plot was thin. And the very sad thing is that all of these problems could have been solved fairly easily had they made the movie a bit longer and cared at all. But I sort of just wanted all the main characters to die already. That's not a good sign. And after a while I thought that maybe the bad guy is right. That's not a good sign, either.
