Yesterday we went downtown for brunch and saw a guy in a uniform jogging. That seemed very odd.

Then we saw a guy wearing nothing but a tiny I-don't-know-what jogging. He definitely stopped some cars (or maybe it was the stop signs) and got people cheering for him. He raised his fists in celebratory acknowledgement. (The temperature was probably in the fifties--pretty cold for wearing almost nothing, but not necessarily insane if you heat up when you go running.)

Then we saw some more ordinarily dressed joggers.

On the way back to the car we saw two more uniformed joggers. I finally figured out they were valets. I had always thought that valets had a secret parking lot in back of their building, but apparently these valets just had to park somewhere on the streets like everybody else. And when it was time to get a car, they'd go for a little jog. Who knew being a valet could keep you fit?

This morning we went downtown for brunch again and saw many more joggers. I'm not sure we've ever seen joggers near that restaurant before.

With New Year's Day followed by two weekend days, it looks like lots of people are actually getting started on their resolutions!
