Apr. 22nd, 2008 10:48 pmOn our latest trip to Dallas we found a new eatery we like.

It's just north of West and south of Hillsboro. I got basically Thanksgiving dinner, both on the way up and the way back. Yum! (The green vegetables are overcooked, but I didn't get those.) They also had sandwiches, chicken fried steak, and I don't know what else.
And outside, well, I didn't see any smoke or any turkeys, but I did see these guys:

If you want a good southern experience, this is a place to consider. They're in the middle of nowhere yet right off the highway with a billboard warning, they have southern hospitality, it's cafeteria style, you can sometimes get jalapeno corn bread, they have a weird gift shop, and of course you can see barnyard animals. We did not, however, notice any gun fights, brawls, stick-ups, racial conflict, or large insects indoors: none of those uber-scary possibilities that are sometimes in my head.
