It's Bronchitis
Feb. 26th, 2008 06:45 pmThe doctor I saw today tells me I have bronchitis. He prescribed antibiotics and recommended a cough remedy. He said bronchitis can hang on for weeks, so I was right to come in. He says I'll probably feel better in two days.
So, all this time I should have been continuing to rest and drink plenty of fluids and all that. Oops.
Googling bronchitis makes me less sure I will be better so soon, since the doctor didn't even test whether I had the viral kind or the bacterial kind. But then, he knows better than I what's been going on in the area recently and he certainly did say that everyone's getting this. So if you live near me, and you've been coughing for over a week, you might want to visit a doctor.
I decided to go by the CVS right near my employer, but it turns out they don't have a pharmacy there. Anymore. As of last week. Who ever heard of a drug store with no pharmacy? They moved the pharmacy to another CVS just up the street. So I did a lot of walking this morning. Oops.
