Yesterday I enjoyed going to this party (see the last paragraph). I enjoy going to parties with weirdo themes. In this case, we got a bunch of materials and were left free to create at will.

I am not one of the ones who made a cool floorplan. I just designed a few rooms and cut them out of graph paper to be mixed at matched. And I sketched out the floorplan of my favorite house.

The best part was seeing indigo rose's friend who likes architecture as a hobby. When he first said he wanted to create something that didn't hide the fact that they basically would be living in an airport, I thought this can't be good. But I was completely wrong about that. He ended up designing a very cool-looking building with sloped rooms that celebrated airplanes and flying and that, although I can't tell for sure, seemed like it might also be very livable, too; certainly well designed for our hot Texas weather.

You never know which of your friends are amazing at doing what. Same probably goes for co-workers and others you run into throughout life. I first noticed this when friends threw a recital party and I learned that this guy I played ultimate frisbee with plays the most achingly beautiful violin ever. Weirdo theme parties: Deb-Bob recommends them. Please throw one, and then blog about how it went. It's all about me, of course.

In other news, I slept ten hours last night. And then two more hours this afternoon. Bleh.
