Hot Fuzz Party
Aug. 11th, 2007 11:19 pmI went to a Hot Fuzz party this evening, where we were to dress as cops and robbers. I wore a lot of black things. Robin, I decided, was an undercover beach cop.
After a second viewing of the movie, I have to say I still like it. The one part I thought was too long didn't seem long at all this time. ( spoilers here )
I also got introduced to Guitar Hero II, a video game that comes with controllers shaped like guitars. It does sort of look like you're playing a guitar while you're playing the game, and you definitely can learn some musical skills by playing, but I don't think it helps you learn to play an actual guitar besides helping you with your musical timing.
And speaking of expanding my cultural awareness, I was introduced to some new party foods at our office beach party/luau yesterday. There is a thing called ketchup chips. They are potato chips (crisps) with red powder on them. They taste a little like barbecue chips. I also heard that the ones sold in Canada taste better than the ones sold here.
And have you had the ubiquitous lemon bars? I got to taste a keylime version. Just as yummy.
And I also had pina colada punch. Just mix pina colada mix with seven up and you get a scary white foamy concoction that tastes just fine. This might come in handy somehow if you need a punch that looks like clouds.
