I Apologize
Jul. 10th, 2007 11:08 pmI did get back to work today. I miss not being home and getting stuff done. On the other hand, it is very nice to have caught up on things at work. Yikes, you're gone one day and things pile up to the ceiling!
Tomorrow we're having an indoor picnic at work. This activity will help us with our morale (she says in robotic voice). It will involve chili dogs, which I like, and hanging around with my co-workers, which I also like. I am bringing the cheese. We all have our minor but important roles. (Yes, I am thoroughly washing my hands before grating the cheese.)
I am now officially sick of being sick. Friday was notice-the-hint-of-sore-throat day, where I asked my supervisor who to contact if I had to call in sick while he was on vacation the following week.
Saturday was slow-moving day. At least that afternoon when visitors came into town and took us out to eat and then we had a surprise walk down Sixth Street in the sun, I found myself low on energy.
Sunday was sleepy day. Monday was blowing-my-nose-every-minute day. Today was coughs-a-lot day. I can tell that tomorrow will be hoarse voice day. I may not even answer the phone (yea for voice mail and e-mail!).
You have my very deep (and hoarse) apologies if I got you sick at R.'s birthday party.
