What Language?

Today on the bus home from work, I heard two people speaking a foreign language. I couldn't tell what language they were speaking right off, so I decided to listen a little more closely. Not French. Not German, I don't think. Not Japanese. Russian? Greek? Hmm, maybe it's French after all. Whatever it was, they used the "sh" sound a lot.
