Sick Today
Dec. 25th, 2006 09:32 pmI woke up with a sore throat this morning. I took vitamin C then went back to bed until noon-thirty.
Then I took a decadently long, decadently hot shower. I'm so glad I have one of those shower heads where it can seem like the water is just more than a trickle until you flip the switch to have the water come out of the shower head, so I didn't waste too much energy or water.
I ate hot foods:
* puffed amaranth - a hot cereal sort of like cream of wheat
* ramen noodles
* cinnamon toast
* hot chocolate
Also Christmas treats like chocolates and cookies.
I watched movies. I saw "Toy Story 2." I don't like how it makes you feel guilty for not playing with your toys or not keeping them when you're done with them, but I did enjoy watching two Buzz Lightyears interacting with each other.
The other movie was totally different, "The Limey." I was glad the main character only killed people out of revenge or in self-defense. The rich guy's two houses were extremely beautiful. There was an interesting conversation between the protagonist and a police officer which was almost completely between the lines of what they were actually saying, which was interesting. Overall not my favorite movie, though.
And I played sudoku and web surfed. No Christmas hike today. Time for bed now. I hope I have some energy soon--it would be a shame to spend all my vacation days having to rest.
