A Bloggy Tour of Homes
Jul. 28th, 2006 07:37 pmI have a treat for you interior decorator types and you folks who like to see what other people's houses look like on the inside. It's a bloggy tour of homes! BooMama invited other bloggers to share pictures of their homes. That link explains the point of the activity and lays out the guidelines:
1) First photo = your front door
2) Second photo = where you blog
3) Third photo = your main living area
4) Fourth photo = your kitchen
5) Fifth photo = your choice
And people are also encouraged to talk about things. If I were participating, which I am not, my fifth photo would show the bookshelves Robin made on which we have organized so many of our fabulous things.
As of this moment, the tour of homes already has 174 entries, in addition to BooMama's place. That's where I'm going. See ya!

I've now toured the first 35 links. This group seems to have a lot of religious moms, and the houses generally seem to range from cute to very, very cute.
I am surprised at how big most of these houses look, even though I do know that most westerners live in big houses, especially people with kids. I am also pleasantly surprised at how many people have painted their walls colors other than whites.
So far I am jealous of:
* beautiful flower pots on people's front porches
* people hiding their TVs and stuff inside of beautiful armoirs
What I like least so far is people's blogging spots. They mostly are not finding armoir-type storage solutions for their computers. I certainly have a great advantage in this department since I have a laptop, which I can store in my desk's keyboard tray. Oh, yeah.
