Shallow trees

Someone heard the story about the downed tree today and asked me what kind it was. I told her. She said yes, a fast-growing tree with shallow roots.

I asked her if there were other fast-growing trees with shallow roots that I should know about so I don't make friends with them.

She said Arizona ash. There's only one old shade tree left in my yard, and it's an Arizona ash.

My yard is like some kind of bizarre botanical horror story, but since plants grow so slowly, it's too boring of a story to make into a good movie.
