So, have you ever had that problem where when you turn on the water and wait for the hot water to come out, you get a good flow at first, but then as the water warms, the flow shrinks to a trickle?

I've got to tell you, this makes it very difficult to wash dishes. I'm having to do the old heat-a-pot-of-water-on-the-stove trick. Fortunately this doesn't happen in the shower or bathroom sink, just the kitchen sink.

We've adjusted things, replaced washers, and drained the water heater (and let it refill). It's a little worse now; the water doesn't even get very hot. But at least the pipes don't vibrate anymore like they used to as the water got warmer. Weird, huh?

Anyone know any good plumbers in Austin? I did all the research before and found a good plumber, but now he's gone. And please don't recommend Clarke Kent plumbing. They've got a nice easy-to-remember name, but they have the exact opposite philosophy of plumbing from me. They like to recommend completely yanking something out and replacing it with a horribly user-unfriendly design, so then your plumbing will be gorgeous, when really I just wanted some parts replaced.

In addition to wanting a plumber who is practical, I'd also like one who is competent, of course and, ideally, reasonably priced.
