To-do list

I've started using a to-do list at work. I use it to remind myself of all those things that are hard to remember. So mostly it's handy for when I ask people questions or ask them to do things and they say they'll get back to me later and then they never do and I forget all about it. Until something comes up six months later and I think to myself "didn't we address this already? Where are my stinking notes?"

Today I used my list by bringing it to a meeting and reading things off it. As a result, I remembered to bring up issues that I would have forgotten to bring up. Of the three issues I'm remembering about right now, one is at the bottom of the person's stack of things to do, one of them was forgotten but now isn't, and one has now been accomplished.

I'm going to keep up with this.

No updates. Nothing good has happened in the book I'm reading yet.

Is it exciting that I finished a chart summarizing some complex issues we are working on at work? I didn't think so.

Is it intriguing that when a co-worker was telling me that he wanted to consult with me and one other person about moving a table, I said we should just actually move it. If the other guy didn't like it, we could then move it back. So I got in a tiny hint of manual labor. Not so intriguing, then, eh? Even though I, a dainty female, had to talk to the big, burly man into it? I didn't think so.

Oh, I also figured out I no longer want to order onions (white or purple) at Freebird's burrito place. Not earth-shattering? But both kinds of onion are so bitter!

And now I'm going to ballroom dance class. I've only been doing this for sixteen years, now (fifteen according to my instructor, who claims he wasn't yet teaching back then), so I'm hardly unpredictable in this area.
