Movie: Jewel of the Nile
Dec. 22nd, 2005 08:39 pmToday I watched "Jewel of the Nile," which I thought might be an appropriate activity for when I am sleepy. I was right.
This movie gets one star out five: half a star for the Jewel and half a star for Kathleen Turner's legs. Robin likes the characters, so he liked it anyway. At least the actors were enjoying themselves. And there were big larger-than-life scenes.
However the writing is horrible. Horrible lines, horrible plot, totally fake, bleh. Miraculous happy ending for everyone except the main bad guy. Huge stupid budget. Slapstick humor. Bad stereotypes.
This is the sequel to "Romancing the Stone," which I also didn't like, but which was supposedly good. If you liked that movie, you might like this one, but not quite as much.
