(Or: I need to write an entry so I can stick extras onto the end of it.)

Tuesday I got to go out to eat with friends and Robin's favorite relatives. I mentioned that I want to retire early, and Aunt Margaret expressed some concern that I might not realize just how much time retired people come into. Since I couldn't come up with a huge list of things I wanted to be doing, she's probably still concerned.

I am not. I just got yet another idea of something I could do if I had buckets of time: learn Flash (thanks, Patrick). Flash certainly has its detractors, but that's because most people are using it wrong. You could instead use it to put recipes online, show how to repair something, or tell a story. Warning: Flash + digital camera + internet access = trouble. But not yet.

Related journal entry: Useless Tidbits in Patrick's Daily Journal. "So far, I've managed to create the lamest Flash project ever. Please only click on it if you're utterly, utterly bored and not willing to mock me for my lameness."

Unrelated journal entry: leah pleads her case on pine barrens debutante. "Yes, we've had to have the 'how babies are made' discussion, because Miss Leah has put her foot down, oh, yes, and declared that 1., she wants a little brother or sister, and 2., she will wait nine months but then SHE IS NOT WAITING ANY MORE."

Overheard in hallway at work on a rainy day:
Woman: "I need to borrow your hair dryer."
Man: "It's not a hair dryer."
Woman: "Shrink-wrap gun. I know how to use it."
